Question on compression intruder 175
Hi - have a question. My 1996 evinrude intruder 175 is showing 100 psi compression on the top four cylinders, but only 90 psi on the bottom two...should I be concerned, and if so, what should I look for to correct? It runs pretty well, does stumble once in a while coming out of the hole, but always starts up and has not stalled.
Secondly. A mechanic told me my VRO pump was disconnected, so I left it that way and have been pre-mixing the gas. However - it seems to be using oil from the reservoir anyhow, and there is oil in the cylinders when I pull the spark plugs although they have not fouled. Was the mechanic wrong? Can you tell me how to connect and disconnect the VRO pump?
