Problem: 2010 E-Tec 50 Hp unstable RPM + won't start engine warm

Hi,

Engine has worked well for two seasons. On third season problems started to occur. Engine starts and runs great when cool. After engine has warmed up RMP's goes up and down by itself when throtle is set at 1500 - 2000 RPM. RPM's goes 1000 - 2500 by itself and motor runs unstable. When RPM's are 2000 to WOT, no problems.

Another thing. When engine is warm it won't start again after shut down. Needs to cool and then starts okay.?

A three year service was done in advance due to problems but certified service didn't find any problems.

Any help and suggestions are mostly appreciated.

Could be the idle air control valve, but a computer download would find this issue. It sounds like computer related. You should take back to another certified BRP service department for a computer diagnostic.
