1974 Evinrude 50 hp TRANSOM BRACKET

All,

I have a 74 evinrude 50hp (50442) and I've been trying to find the transom brackets for this motor for a while now with no luck. I haven't yet picked up the phone but everywhere I check, these are not made anymore. Am I out of luck or is there an alternative that I havn't found yet?
