I have a 1957 Evinrude Fleetwin 7.5hp outboard. I removed the rubber propeller nut (slip on type) and it tore. I the rubber has lost its ability to be plyable. Anyway, the local marine shop looked up the part, and sold me the part per the tech manuel. It is the wrong one and he does not have anyway of finding the correct one I need.
Does anyone out there know of a marine shop that may still carry them? The nut itself has a rubber lip way down toward the tip that hangs onto the output shaft nipple. The incorrect one has the rubber lip at the edge of the outside.
