This motor appears to have run very hot on the right bank. I pulled the head and the lower cylinder wall is scored with aluminum. The upper is dark. Anyway I need to pull her down. What is the procedure? I will order a shop manual but I didnt want to wait for it to come in before I disasemble. At this point Iam guessing the water pump failed but I will of course replace that along with resealing the lower unit. This rig, a 1969 Glastron V163 and motor was given to me so I cant complain. The boat itself is in good shape. I want to verify that I have spark and shifting before I do this. Thanks for any help. I was looking in the parts section and I dont see pistons and rings listed. Are they not available?
