1989 15 hp lower gearcase re/seal

Hey guys, im new to the forum and look'n for some help.....I have a 1989 Evinrude 15 hp model # e15rcec. I need to replace the seals in the lower unit and am look'n for advice on the best way to remove the old seals at the prop shaft ( I have revoved the bearing housing from the gearcase) and the upper seals under the water pump. Should I use some sort of slide hammer or just pry'm out with a screwdriver? I dont want to break anything!! Any advice would be great!!

A seal remover tool works good or maybe a screwdriver.
