1984 evinrude 8hp runs real rough

i have a 84 8hp evinrude that i have rebuilt the carb, re ringed the engine, replaced the fuel pump and it will runn real good for a little bit and then run real rough for a while then it will clear up and run good for a bit. the only thing i havent touched is the electronics. does this sound like anything anyone has had trouble with.

Ignition braeking down could cause it, need to test ignition components with a peak reading voltmeter while running engine to find problem.
