Evinrude 18 hp pawl

I have a 18hp Evinrude Ser. 318902B-E03435 that needs a pawl the part number is 203698 but it is only 2" long mine is 2 3/8" long is there anyone that knows where I can find that ? The people that I have contacted don,t seem to want to help. Thank You
