Hi guys,
I am new to the forums and in need of some help. I am looking at buying a 1976 Aquasport 19-6 that has an old Sea Horse 140 on it. I know nothing about the motor and am interested in whether it is a good enough motor to mess with for now, or if I should find something newer. I will attach a picture to help with identification along with the model number. What I want to know is,
1. Is this old motor even worth messing with?
2. How hard is it to get parts for? I know it needs a starter.
3. What year was it built?
The model number is 140TRNCLB. I am getting the boat/motor/trailer for $300, so if the motor is a wash, then no big deal. If it is worth saving, it will save me the time and extra money trying to find a reasonably priced replacement.
Here are a few pics that were taken yesterday when I looked at the boat.
I appreciate any help/advice that you guys could give.
Thanks
