I have a 85 HP that was purchased last year by my father in law. He loves old outboards as long as I find a way to keep them running.
I thought I was having a fuel pump problem since the motor seemed to be starving for fuel at high RPM. There was a Sierra pump installed. Since I could not reference the Sierra part number to my engine, I thought I may be on to something.
I purchased and received the right pump this week, Part # 04389559 replaced the old number #0385784. My problem:
The old pump has a infeed and an outfeed. The new pump has 2 outfeed nipples, where does the additional outfeed connect to?
The only information I have thru part diagrams is showing it connected to a pause hose. I've ordered a manual but thought I could get some help here.
Providing a pic of the connection would be great.
Thanks, Rick
