Hi All, I resently purchased a flats Boat that has and old trolling motor on it, Not sure of the model number. The motor runs good. My question about it is, what keeps the motor from rotating forward and backwards when you engage the motor. I'm looking at the parts breakdown and I see an Item No 50, Steering Friction Arm. Does this Arm snap into the slot on the side of the Motor Tube Bracket and hold it in place while trolling? Below is the link to the Parts Breakdown.
Thanks Ray
