I have a 1998 150 hp with ficht injection. The motor starts and idles fine but the check engine light and alarm goes off and it only idles. Do you have any ideas.

Could be a number of things like low system voltage, fuel restriction or sensor failure. Best to have it checked with computer diagnostic to see what fault code is active.
