E-Tec coil

Hi guys new to this forum stuff however here goes.I have just had to purchase a new coil for my 2011 evinrude 75 E-Tec
My question is do I need to connect the engine to a diagnostic device before I can re start and use my engine? Any help on this matter would be extremely appreciated

Not for replacing a coil you don't have to connect to diagnostic program, if it was an fuel injector you would.
