Was out the other day, stopping to jig for bait, and I look back and see the engine tilting up. Push the switch on the throttle, which pauses it for a second until I release it, then it continues on up. So I go to the switch on the engine, and it pauses while I push the down side, but continues up as soon as I release. Keeps trying to push up after engine is all the way up. Removed cover of switch, and its still going, pull off the contact and that stopped it. OK so, bad switch, was able to lower engine using switch at throttle. So, my question is, until I get the replacement switch for engine, how unsafe am I relying on the working tilt trim switch? I'm thinking I'll be fine, but just want to make sure. Looking at the wiring diagram they look completely independent.
