1987 140 V4 test wheel

Does anybody know if test wheels for this older motor still exist or equivalent for tune purposes?

Me neither... BUT... check with Bob Kerr tools in Orlando, Fl. If anyone would know, it would be the fellows at that business.

Also, check around with the dealerships that have been in business forever. Many of them won't work on those older engines and would be glad to take is a few bucks on tools/equipment they no longer use.

Could anybody put me on the right track on what I could do in substitution of the test wheel for tuning purposes?
Or do I have no choice but to tune my motor out on the water.

I see you never got an answer about your timing wheel. I too have an issue where I want to check my timing advance at WOT. My outboard also lists the specs with a timing wheel but I'd rather just perform this on the lake with an ***istant. Do you know if the specs are the same when performed on the water at WOT with a prop? Just wondering. Also, How did you resolve your timing wheel issue?
