Hot light

Hi Guys -

I launched my 2015 ETECh yesterday and it was running fine and then the HOT light and alarm came on for 30 seconds and then went off.. This happened again 2 two other times... I checked to make sure water was coming out the back... It ran fine the entire time right after it.... I just do not want to damage the motor...

Any ideas why it would come on so many times and then shut off right away?

Might be time to replace water pump and check thermostats. If it's been in storage then water pump impeller may be deformed.

Rough water.... water intake bouncing out of and back into water.

Engine tilted slightly too high... same problem with water intake.

Engine picked up a plastic bag temporarily... plastic flopping on and off water intake.

Impeller approaching fail point... If it happens again, check the pump.

Hi Guys -

I had a dealer come and check my boat...

They connected a water pressure pump to it and I was getting enough water pressure...

They believe it is a known issue with the SPRING being too tight and not letting enough water in.

I am not sure what the part is...

I was told I can run my boat under 3000 RPMS and over 3500 RPMS.

A spring being too tight huh? Was this fellow ever kidnapped by aliens in a UFO?

If it's been two years since that water pump has been looked at... I strongly suggest you have it changed.
