I would like to know if I have to take the starter motor off to be able to remove the carburator on my 30 horse Evenrude. If so, how do I remove the starter?

You will have to remove the starter bracket, starter ***y. Remove bolts holding throttle advance shaft, remove bolts from starter bracket to engine block and slide starter bracket forward over stud(in front above carb).

Thanks for your reply, I thought I would heve to get that starter out of the way. I was hoping for some trick but it didn't look like any way, just thought I would ask! Thanks again.
