Motor was new to me last fall and ran great. Had it winterized by a local shop. When I got it out this spring, it started great and idled great. But around 2500RPM it starts acting like it is intermittently fuel starved. It cuts out and then surges over and over again until I bring the RPM down below 2500.
Had my shop check the plugs and fuel. I checked both low pres and high pres fuel filters. Connected a different fuel tank with fresh fuel. Problem persists. On a whim, I changed to new plugs. Interestingly the the stall/surge moved to a higher RPM (around 3500RPM).
Has anyone ever seen this type of behavior? What is the problem?
