  • ignition power loss at the icon control

I Just bought my new 2016 (Evinrude)150/105 factory jet and boat yesterday, it is now Sunday and of course the dealer is closed. ugh. Anyway this morning I set out for the maiden voyage and discovered I have no power at the Icon control.
I have a 20 amp fuse at the battery which is good, the power trim is also lack of power in all three locations (console, bow and at the motor). The safety kill switch is in place. I am out of ideas, I think it has to be something simple but looking for ideas to try until I can get it back to the dealer on Tuesday.

***, I got it. for future use for anyone with this dilemma, pull the shroud off and look on top, there is a cover over the flywheel, this has to be removed to find a red rubber fuse holder on the front right side as you are looking down on the motor standing on the stern. It has a fuse right next to it. it has a 10 amp spare in the red rubber holder, it must be a common blow for them to install a spare right next to it. You would think it would be noted in the trouble shooting guide. headed back to the river, lol.
