Trying to remove the tilt section from the midsection of a 1998 Evinrude. The motor is off and the lower unit is off. Leaving the midsection. I loosened the manual release screw but I still cannot manually lift the unit up to get to the tilt.
Any suggestions? I'm sure I'll run into more problems taking the tilt unit off but at least I found some video's on that.
