Replace Air Intake Cover

How do you remove and then replace the Air Intake Cover on 2000 Evinrude E175FPXSSV Motor Cowling? The old one is cracked.

I retired in 1991, however unless they changed the process of how they're attached.......

You need to get underneath the soundproofing material in order to get at the vent retainers.

Is it bolted on or does it just snap in and out?

The ones I had to replace had pins of the vent going through holes in the hood with plastic friction push on retainers going over the pins to keep the vents in place.
