I recently purchased a 1984 E35ELCRR that came with a non-functioning, badly damaged control box. I have had a hard time finding a replacement control box. Then I found an adapter harness (Part #: CDI423-6344) that claims to
"Adapt 1995 & Older Johnson Evinrude Outboard Engines to New Controls".
Anyone have any experience/advice doing this sort of thing? And what type of new controls might be compatible with the functions on this motor? Throttle/Shift/Electric start. No tilt/trim.
