1997 Evinrude 50 E50TLEUC Questions

Question 1
My issue is when I trim the boat out an get it right. The trim will drop back down in the water an slow the boat down. I don't see anything leaking around the cylinder. What I'm I missing here?

Question 2
Props, Were are the props marked for the pitch. An what would be the best pitch to have for speed, one for pulling a tube are skier.

most evinrude props are marked either on the side of hub or end of hub. example 14x15 or 9x13 etc. with 14 or 9 beibg the diameter and 15 or 13 being the pitch. forgrt the old wives tales of speed or power props. the correct way of deciding the pitch is by r.p.m. you should run in the area of 55 to 5600 rpms at wide open throttle. that is how you determine the correct pitch. from there, you can decide what pitch you need.
