Wire size help needed

I'm converting a manual start 1993 15 HP Evinrude to electric start. Does anyone know what size wire is used between the starter and the solenoid?
Starter and solenoid are standard Evinrude replacements.

Wire gauge is not my cup of tea... BUT... it would be the same size as the cable from the battery to the solenoid.

Normally I would agree but the distance from the battery to the start switch is over 6 feet and that lead also feeds a trolling motor so it has to be larger. The
starter and solenoid both have very small hookup posts so I'm asking what is the
usual size wire used between them. The wiring diagrams I've seen don't show a wire size.
