Water Pump Replaced

I recently had a water pump replaced. I don't recall seeing water between the lower unit and head unit before. Is this normal??

You're speaking of leakage where the lower unit meets the long exhaust housing, a metal to metal surface. A normal problem and no cause for concern. That'll clog up with debris is a short time... OR... you can seal it with the following.
