Hello guys.
Got a 4hp outboard which is a none runner. I was trying to find the model number . I found the sticky label on the transom bracket but all the particulars have faded (must have been printed in ink). Is there anyway i can find out the model number anywhere else on the motor .or any part that would identify it as being a certain model .it has neutral and forward gear only and swivels 360 degrees for reverse. It has an inbuilt tank . The choke and fuel cutoff switch is a single knob.the accelerator is a knob that slides from left to right along the hood of the motor.plugs are champion l88a (dont know if these are the right ones) it has compression but not very high as i can spin the motor using an 18v power drill with plugs in. There is a weak spark. Would love to get this tidy little motor going.but to get parts i need to know its age and model number
