I retired back in 1991 so I'm not knowledgeable of your engine's design and circuitry. However, if that engine incorporates carburetors, that's the first place I'd look as your description of the problem indicates fouled carburetor high speed jets if carburetors exist.

bee told it might be high volt capasitor / looked up wire diag and cant find part are they talking about stator
