Help with idle speed/prop
2004 Evinrude E-Tec (168 hours)
2004 Palm Beach 17.5
Prop 13.75--15
Boat idles at 800 rpm.(in gear)...dealer says cannot lower idle speed..
Boat runs 3.0 mph...I need to lower my speed at idle to 1.8 mph for trolling with downriggers for lake trout.(1.6---1.8)
??If I change the prop to a 13 pitch , would this probably lower my idle speed to appx 1.8 mph.
Do not want to buy a separate kicker motor for trolling.
