Needle seat gaskets?

Hello all, l'm installing new carb kits on a 96 150 V6 looper. The new kits come with a hard plastic seal for the needle seat, which when installed, raise the seat up a bit making the float stick up. The old seats have no seal of any kind, just screwed into the plastic. Should I use these plastic washers or not? And any advice on adjusting the floats, do you just bend the metal arm until the float is level?

The valves are universal kits. Many of the older engines used (needed) the washers. If you look closely at your carburetor, you'll see a raised portion that resembles a permanent washer (part of the carburetor).

Bottom line.... Do Not use the washers on your model engine.
