Hello,
I'm new to boating, and recently purchases a Grady White 208 Adventure with a 2007 Evinrude e-Tec 175 (E175DPXSUF). I recently put on a new propeller, and enjoyed learning all about how to ensure that the new one would allow the motor to operate within its WOT range: 47505750. But, I find that when I'm boating with my family, I like to keep the RPMS at around 4000it's just calmer and quieter, and more pleasant while we're talking, etc.
SO: Do I actually need to operate within the specified range of 47505750, or is that just a guide to where the RPMs should land when I'm going at full throttle with the trim and tabs adjusted? Is it bad for my motor if I operate around 4000 RPMs most of the time?
