1977 evinrude 85hp impeller housing

I want to do the impeller in my engine but when I went to my local Marine store the kit they said was for my engine has a different housing. I haven't taken it apart yet to confirm any other parts are correct or incorrect but some basic poking around on Google this is the only kit I can find for a 77 85hp v4 evinrude. Is it the right kit? Did they change the housing design? The current one looks like it has 2 water outlets where the new one only has one and it doesn't line up with the current outlet. All the bolt holes appear to match though. Any guidence in this would be helpful. Model is 85793s

Ok. You say your current housing has two water outlets? But you haven't taken it apart? Then how do you know your existing housing has two outlets?

I think, you should remove the existing water pump ***y. If it is different than the kit purchased, return to your marine store with both ***y's, and see if they can correct the error. If the kit you bought is the same, install it.

personally, I've never seen a two outlet water pump on any outboard motor.

Turns out the dual outlet water pump is a thing and its apparently only for 77 85hp and only certain models within. The kit is specific to a dual outlet. The Marine store I went to said (once I explained it a little better) that they had only seen that once before. Evinrude apparently doesn't even sell the kits with housing anymore because they can't get it. I got the kit without the housing and in going to attempt to reuse the current one hoping there's no damage or cracks once I get it out back tohether. Otherwise I'll have to order the housing online.

I can order the kit and the housing from then I was just trying to get it done and didn't want to wait for shipping lol. Got the engine for 150 with perfect compression only had to clean the carbs to get it running. There had to be something wrong it was just too good of a deal.
