1970 Evinrude 60hp NO SPARK

I just traded a laptop for a boat.. and now I am trying to get this thing started. I had a mobile mechanic take a look at it the other day and we were unable to get a spark.

I am not much of a mechanic but I have the tools and am willing to dig around on this thing some to get it started.

What should I check to find out where I am missing spark?
We pulled the spark plugs out and put them on the block and no ark..
We tested some of the things on the side of the motor.. just above the AMC amplifyer and it seems like we are getting 12v going in and only 2v coming out of one.

I am having trouble trying to locate that part.. but I did grab these part numbers (389550) (OA11011U29) and (511938)

I would love to find an inexpensive electric diagram for this motor if anyone can help me find one.

we found 120 compression on all the cylinders and engine seems to be in pretty good shape.. previous owner swears it ran about 1.5 yrs ago.

Lets see, under the flywheel you have points, anti-reverse spring, rotor, dist cap, plug wires. On the block you have an amplifier, coil and all of the wiring. On those systems you have to do a series of checks to eliminate the componets, I think you are going to need a manual.
I could take a wild guess and tell you to remove the flywheel, clean and reset the points, look over the cap and rotor for cracks, and make sure the anti-reverse spring is not shorting the ign system. Then check the coil for cracks and make sure all the wiring is in good shape, all connections clean and tight.
