I just acquired a flats boat with a 2000 Evinrude 150 ficht E150FSLSSM. Before everyone chimes in and says it's an anchor, which it may well be hear me out.
I immediately did a complete full service which includes: plugs, water pump, thermostats, power head fuel filter, and gear case oil. I also drained the fuel tank, installed new sender and pickup tube.
First couple times out she ran amazing. Turning almost 4800 rpm and cruising boat at 47 mph. Last two times out she bogs down once on plane. So I hooked up a remote five gallon tank with primer ball. Once on plane and squeezing ball like crazy I was able to get her running. So I ordered a rebuild kit for the manual fuel pump. Ran last weekend and still bogs out. I have not hooked up a pressure gauge to the fuel system which I'll do next.
Any other troubleshooting advice? I also have the ability to hookup to Evinrude computer which I will do. Possibly injectors? Any secret to reinstalling them? Concerned about having to re program ecru after that since I have never pulled injectors from a ficht or Etec. Thanks for any ***istance.
