My 2003 115 Ram Fitch has been going into safe mode off and on for the past year. I took it in for service and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. an over charging code came up but they said it corrected itself. I brought it home and started tinkering with it. I opened the "Fitch fuel injection" electronic cover and saw that the protective gel was melted away in two spots (Electrical short). This must have been the problem right?? And one of the fuel line hoses going into it was so corroded it broke off when I touched it.
Can buy a replacement and just swap it out or will it need to be programmed??? Around how much will this cost?
