Last fall my 120 developed a small a tick but can only be heard on idle. It seems like the same time this started wouldn't idle down from quick start mode. It would idle down sometimes after revving the motor up or shutting off and restarting. But when it did idle down it continued to increase rpm's on its own. Last time out, about 3-weeks ago, motor started great and ran great to the fishing hole. Coming back it started fine, ran fine at low speed, but when trying to power up it backfired like crazy and would not power up. Tried several times and ended up crawling back to ramp. I just bought new plugs, new fuel filter, new bulb and water separator. Going to try it next Sat after parts are installed to see what happens with the power situation, but have no idea why it wont idle down from quick start mode. Any help is really appreciated.
