I have a 1977 70hp outboard model 70773. It was my grandfather's boat and it has not been used in years. I am replacing the main fuel line from the pump to the center carb. When I tried to pull the hose off of the carb, the br*** nipple pulled out of the carb float bowl. The nipple appears undamaged, but there are no threads and no obvious way to reattach it. I suspect the nipple is held in place by an adhesive. Any guidance on how to repair this would be greatly appreciated.
