orifice cover
sorry i'm just beginning to learn about repairing my just purchased a 1995 evinrude 2 cly 25hp motor. first thing i noticed was a missing part. where the orifice opening is,it does not have a cover? there is 4 screw holes that held on something to keep water or stuff out of the carb. what's it called? does it have anything to do with something called a air silencer? I noticed in all carb picture parts that this orifice does not have any cover shown. thank you for your help.
