evinrude 90hp 1992 overheating

Hi everyone,
Having some problems with the engine we've bought
Engine starts and runs, but when you crank the idle up to about 3k-4k RPM, and run continuous for 5-6 mins the buzzer will go off indicating overheat.

What would be most common problems causing this overheat?

couple questions

Water this done on the water or on ear muff adapter? Is the alarm steady on or slightly intermittent? Does the flywheel get hot? Is there water peeing out the back while running? Is alright if unsure about some of these questions, any extra info helps here.
