Hello, I have a 92 48spl. I recently replaced the impeller and seals In the lower unit. When I bought the boat the impeller was burnt up so I never got to see it run before.
Since I replaced it if I run the motor with the lower unit submerged in water it spits a steady stream of water out the upper exhaust port under the engine cover. I was wondering if this was normal? I know water is supposed to come out the lower ports to act as a muffler but the last motor I owned nothing came out the upper. It doesn't do this if I run it on the hose. Thanks for any help or advice yall might have!!
