I'm totally confused!!!: Engine: 1994 140 25" engine. I need a lower unit. I've been told I can use a V4 or V6 lower unit. It's a light boat, so either one will work for me. What year and from what engines can I get a used unit from? It looks like V4's (88-140) will work. What about shift shaft length and 1 or 2 piece drive shafts? A local OMC guy said I need a unit with a drive shaft specific to a looper because of the shaft length. (Shorter than a cross-flow) Thanks for the help!
