Hello there,
I have a 1988 Evinrude 30 HP E30RCCE thats really racking my brain. The motor worked fine when I pulled it out last winter, while it was out I pulled the lower unit and replaced the impeller, gear oil and propeller. When I put it in the lake
to test the motor, the motor runs but seems to be stuck in reverse. I shift the
lever to Neutral or Forward, it still goes in reverse. Does the shift lever going
into the lower unit have some sort of adjustment? It's the only thing I can
think of that would be causing this.
