  • Engine warning tone meanings

Greetings all, and happy 4th of July!

My 91 Evinrude Tracker 115 hp Pro Series is giving me a warning tone. It is a steady tone. I'm told (here, thank you very much) this could well be the water pump. I understand there are a few other tones it will make depending on the alert sensor activated. Can someone tell me what they are?

    Thanks in advance.

Overheat and low oil warning are thats on that engine, check oil system and water pump.

      Thank you very much.

The signal I am getting is a steady tone. This is AFTER replacing the VRO pump and the impeller. Is it possible that there is a sensor inside the oil tank that is getting ready to go? The tank is 1/3 full at this time. This only happens at highter RPM (3,500+) and only after 10 mins or so running at lower RPM.

      Thanks in advance.
