I need some help getting a 1998 Johnson 50hp motor running, as I am not getting any spark. The motor ran great all last summer and had it properly winterized, then put it away. When the boat was brought out this spring it would crank but would not get spark. I have done everything I can think of to resolve the issue but no luck. I have put on a new power pack, stator, voltage regulator, checked coils, checked all the grounds, and the key harness. The only thing I haven’t checked is the sensor coil, but that tested good. Has anyone had an issue like this? Or does anyone have any recommendations on what direction I should head next? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
