Hello, I have a 1988 70 hp on my procraft and have been haveing trouble at idle and throttle responce, slowly stalls at idle and stalling takeing throttle, i replaced all the lines and bubble, also put a fuel pump on it and removed the vro since previous ower had trouble with it, installed the fuel pump for a 70 hp, i put all new parts on the throttle linkage and tried to link and sink correctly, marks line up but i havent checked the timing at a low idle yet, carbs have been just recently cleaned and i pulled them off and checked everything again, all p***ages are clean. The motor will idle but when it sits idleing in the water it will slowly stall, when i crank it up and go to give it the throttle it bogs unless i rev it up and hit the throttle quick.
What should the timeing be at a low idle is it 5 degrees advance?
any ideas what may be the cause of this?
