#1 plug black and sooty other 3 plugs moist. motor coughs and spits. then runs smooth then starts running rough again. new fuel line and fuel primer and new fuel pump is #1 carb messed up?
Cough and spits at idle usually is a lean running condition which is either plugged jets or p***ages in carb or air leak in intake or crankcase, Backfiring at higher speed could be ignition breaking down.
