Hopefully I will get skillful enough someday to add to the forum. For now, I have a few questions. About 2 years ago I picked up an 18 HP Evinrude that only had reverse. I brought it to a local mechanic who had it for two years, lost it and gave me another one - long story. The new to me motor, seems to run well but has some parts that need replaced: 4 Rubber Mounts, part number 0377582. These sell for $71.99 each! And I need 4.
1. Is there a cross reference guide on this forum? (There must be a cheaper mount.)
2. Is this a pretty reliable motor? (I don't want to go through the expense of parts, paint, and manuals for a motor that will not last.)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
