Message: Having replaced the ignition coil and still getting no spark it seems to be the ECU (583668) which is the problem. Because of the cost of this unit its not practical to replace. Therefore I am enquiring as to the possibility using the stator mounted ignition components as listed for the 1996 bj5drleds outboard motor, as a replacement system.

Not sure about that.The cut in the flywheel need to be the same

Thanks for your reply. I'm going to have a root around to see if someone is with a similar motor is brave enough to lend me some parts and give it a try. In the meantime if you get any info which might help, p*** it on.
