We are the Evinrude agents for Zimbabwe and Central Africa and we seem to be having an issue with the starter motors on the V6 motors - 150Hp and upwards.
We keep on having the small planetry gear self destructing - usually in the middle of a tournament. Is it just me, or is there an issue with these starter motors. It astounds me that BRP do not have these gears as a listed spare part as the rest of the starter motor is usually fine. The cost of sending a complete starter motor is huge compared against sending just the gears. It really would cut down the cost of warranties.
Is there anyone else having issues?
