E Tec 60
I recently purchased an E - Tec 60 and it is mounted to a Sunbird 150 SS. Boat weighs approx 1295 lbs plus the weight of the motor. It was installed with a Rogue 13 x 17" Stainless Prop which is ok but not the best for whole shots. My boat goes 31 MPH with the 17" Rogue now but the prop takes forever to get up on plane and tops out at just about 5500 rpm. I then tried a 13 1/4 x 15" Rogue and lost 2 - 4 mph at the top end but had a much better whole shot but was spinning the motor at 5600 rpm.
The long and short of it is that I switched back to the 17" Rogue to keep the top end MPH up but its a dog to try and pull a 200 plus pound skiier out of the water. When I initially spoke to the dealer I wanted to have the Raker Prop installed but was told they are only for the bigger E- Tecs?
Anyone have any ideas or experience to find a better prop that will give me a better whole shot and top end Speed?
