  • Can anyone point me in the right direction. 2003 Envirude 200hp Redlines when engaged

    Currently working on a 2003 Envirude 200HP E200FPXSTM

At the moment I'm trying to figure out why its is REDLINING when I engage and give it a little gas. When I crank it and it idles between 800 to 1000, once I give it a little gas and p*** up 2000 RPM, it automatically redlines over 5000. I have no throttle control.

Right now all the spark and fuel line and filters has been changed out to brand new.

Cleaning Temp sensor and Throttle sensor today to see if that does the trick.

Maybe planning to order new TEMP and Throttle sensors.

Hey Bandit, did you resolve the problem?
Just saw your post, I have 2000 225's and they rev all the way up when out of the water on the flushing muffs if I try to move the throttle up just a bit, once the motor it's in the water, there is a barometric pressure sensor, I ***ume that if this guy it's not responding to the water back pressure in the exhaust it will rev up to +5000rpm's, just like you stated, no throttle control.
If your EMM computer looks like mine, on the right side there is a black 1/4" tubing with a piece that looks like a small engine fuel filter, I think that is the exhaust pressure sensor.
    Hope this helps
